About the Season
High School season is a competitive season against other high school programs in the state. Some travel is expected.
Dates and Times
Practices begin Monday, August 19 and end Monday, October 23
7-9pm Monday - Wednesday
Mondays & Tuesdays (through October 8): UT SAC (Student Aquatics Center) indoor diving well at 2106 Andy Holt Ave, Knoxville 37996
Wednesdays (through August): Pilot Family YMCA indoor pool at 400 N Winston Rd, Knoxville 37909
Competitions
Tentative competition schedule - no specifics yet but please pencil these dates in your calendar -
September 7 or 8 Knoxville
September 21 or 22 Knoxville
September 28 or 29 Nashville
October 5 or 6 Knoxville
October 26-27 State Tournament (likely in Nashville)
Cost
$550 for the season
Cost covers all practices and competitions. Other items not included in the cost are:
American Water Polo membership (~$50)
Water Polo Suit (if needed)
Hotel/Travel costs to away tournaments
Our goal is to control costs by minimizing travel and hotel stays. On the current schedule, a hotel stay would be necessary for the state tournament. All other competitions should be only one day.

AWP REGISTRATION
All members are required to have a valid American Water Polo (AWP) registration (with ID number). To register, go to www.americanwaterpolo.org.

MARBLE CITY WATER POLO COVID-19 PROTOCOL
The following protocols will be implemented as practical risk mitigation procedures for those willing to accept the risk of normal water polo play.
All MCWP participants will be required to sign a legal assumption of risk and a hold harmless waiver to MCWP and its hosting facilities at mcpolo.org. MCWP will closely follow the CDC guidelines.
Any players experiencing any common COVID symptoms including but not limited to fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell, loss of taste, headache, or fatigue will not be permitted to participate.
Any player testing positive for COVID must notify MCWP staff immediately.
Any player testing positive for COVID should not attend MCWP events for 10 days and should be symptom free.

COMMUNICATION
MCWP uses the Heja app for team communications and will reach out to you closer to the beginning of the season to set that up. Please communicate with coaches via the app.
